Fun facts about the Czech language
Czech is a West Slavic language natively spoken by over 10 million people.
It shares similarities with other Slavic languages such as Polish and Russian, but was also influenced by Latin and German.
Several common English words such as dollar, pistol, polka and robot have a Czech origin!
Some Czech words don’t have vowels. The famous tongue twister “Strč prst skrz krk” (“put your finger through your throat”) is made only if consonants 😄
